Overview

Built to replace the nylon base on your Pro Flow or Go-To Desk Chair, the Aluminium Chair Base is a five-star spider cast in aluminium and polished to a bright finish. The 700 mm spread keeps the chair steady when you lean back on full recline, while the metal adds weight low down, so the chair feels planted rather than light on its castors.

Aluminium does not flex or scuff the way nylon does under years of rolling and heel contact, so the base looks the same in year five as it did on delivery. Fitted in place of the standard base before your chair is dispatched, it arrives assembled and ready to sit in, whether the chair goes into a home office or a boardroom, and matches the polished base on our Aura.

What changes is the weight low down, which makes the chair feel planted, and the surface, which takes years of rolling and heel contact without scuffing or going dull.
