What is the desk made from?

The top and pedestal carcass are made from 32mm melamine. The leg is powder-coated steel. Both materials are built for daily office use and hold up well over time.

What are the available sizes?

The desk comes in two sizes: 1800 x 900 x 740mm and 2000 x 900 x 740mm. Both are the same height and offer identical features. The difference is surface area, so base your choice on how much space you have and how spread out your setup tends to be.

How does the three-tone colour system work?

The desk uses three independent colour zones. Colour A covers the desktop and pedestal carcass. Colour B covers the drawer fronts and open shelving on the pedestal. Colour C covers the powder-coated steel leg, pedestal leg, and handles. We carry a curated selection of combinations on the website.

What does the pedestal include?

The pedestal has two drawers (top drawer with a pen and pencil tray, second drawer sized for Foolscap hanging files), a central lock, open display shelves on the front face, and cable ports at the top and bottom. It also extends 200mm past the edge of the desktop, giving you extra usable depth on the storage side.

Can I set the storage up on either side of the desk?

Yes. The desk is non-handed, so the pedestal works on the left or the right. No special configuration is needed at the time of ordering. This is handled during assembly.

Do you deliver nationwide?

Yes, we deliver across South Africa. Delivery costs and estimated lead times are calculated at checkout based on your location.

How long does delivery take?

Lead times vary depending on your location and current stock. If you have a specific deadline, contact us before placing your order and we will give you an accurate timeframe.

How does installation work?

The desk does not arrive assembled, contact us for an installation quote.

Is this desk suitable for a home office?

It’s more suited for an executive office in a corporate setting, but yes, it can work well in a dedicated and slightly more spacious home office. The L-shaped footprint needs a reasonable amount of floor space, so check your room dimensions against the desk size before ordering. If you are unsure which size works, get in touch and we can help.

How much desk surface does the L-shape actually give you?

Quite a bit. The main desk surface runs the full width of the desk (1800mm or 2000mm depending on size), and the return creates a second working zone at a right angle. It is well suited to dual-monitor setups, wide workstations, or anyone who likes to keep active tasks and reference materials in separate zones.

Is the desk stable once assembled?

Yes. The steel leg and melamine construction give it solid footing once assembled correctly. The 32mm top does not flex under a loaded setup.

What happens if my desk arrives with a fault or visible damage?

Contact the Workspace Dreams team within 48 hours of delivery. Include your order details and photos. We will work to resolve it quickly.

Can I return the desk if I change my mind?

If the desk is unused and in its original packaging and condition, get in touch and we will walk you through the process. We would always rather help you make the right choice before purchasing, so if you have questions, reach out first.

What is not covered by a return?

Desks that have been assembled, used, or are no longer in original packaging are not eligible for return. Custom colour combinations may also be subject to different terms. Contact us before ordering if you have specific concerns.
