1. Promoter and acceptance of these rules
1.1 This competition (the "Competition") is run by Workspace Dreams (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2020/146899/07, of Unit 51 Block E, Wapadrand Office Park, 90 Kingbolt Crescent, Wapadrand, Pretoria, Gauteng, 0081 ("Workspace Dreams", "we" or "us"), in partnership with content creator Kirsti Lang (@itsmekirsti) ("the Partner"). Workspace Dreams and the Partner are together the "Promoters".
1.2 These terms and conditions (the "Rules") are the competition rules required by section 36 of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 ("CPA") and regulation 11 of the CPA Regulations. They were prepared before the Competition opened.
1.3 By entering, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Rules. If you do not agree, please do not enter.
1.4 A copy of these Rules is available free of charge on request from rene@workspacedreams.co.za.
1.5 This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc. See clause 6.5.
2. Competition period and who can enter
2.1 The Competition opens between 16:00 and 18:00 on 12/10/2026 and closes at 23:59 (South African Standard Time) on 11/11/2026 (the "Competition Period"). Entries received outside the Competition Period will not be counted.
2.2 The Competition is open only to natural persons who:
- are 18 years or older at the time of entry;
- are South African residents with a valid South African ID number or passport and a delivery address in South Africa; and
- have a public (or publicly viewable) Instagram account at the time of the draw, so that their entry can be verified.
2.3 The following people may not enter (section 36(3)(b) of the CPA):
- directors, members, partners, employees, agents and consultants of Workspace Dreams, and of any person who controls or is controlled by Workspace Dreams;
- Kirsti Lang and any person who works for or represents her in connection with the Competition;
- any supplier of goods or services in connection with the Competition, including the prize; and
- the spouses, life partners, business partners and immediate family members of anyone listed above.
2.4 Entry is free. No purchase is necessary, and you do not have to buy anything from Workspace Dreams to enter or win. The only cost to you is your normal mobile data or internet charges.
3. How to enter
3.1 To enter, during the Competition Period you must:
- comment on any of the following: (1) the official giveaway post published jointly by @itsmekirsti and @workspace_dreams_ on Instagram (the "Competition Post"); (2) the Instagram Reel giveaway post published jointly by @itsmekirsti and @workspace_dreams_; or (3) the last Instagram Reel giveaway post published jointly by @itsmekirsti and @workspace_dreams_; and
- follow both @itsmekirsti and @workspace_dreams_ on Instagram, and still be following both accounts at the time of the draw.
3.2 Bonus entry: you may earn one (1) additional entry by sharing the Competition Post to your Instagram Stories and tagging @workspace_dreams_ and @itsmekirsti, so that we can see it. Your account must be public, or the Story otherwise visible to us, for the bonus entry to be verified.
3.3 Each person may receive a maximum of two (2) entries: one standard entry and one bonus entry. Multiple comments, multiple Story shares or tagging other people do not earn extra entries.
3.4 Only one Instagram account per person may be used. Entries from fake, duplicate, bot or giveaway-only accounts, and entries made using automated software, will be disqualified.
3.5 Comments must not be offensive, defamatory, discriminatory, sexually explicit or otherwise inappropriate. We may hide or delete such comments and disqualify the entrant.
3.6 We are not responsible for entries that are not received or not visible to us because of technical problems, account privacy settings, Instagram outages or comments filtered by Instagram.
4. The prize
4.1 There is one (1) prize: one (1) Workspace Dreams Sit-Stand Desk Pro Plus, with a retail value of R14,299 (incl. VAT) as at the opening date (the "Prize"). The Prize is a 1200mm x 720mm Barrel Oak desktop on a White frame.
4.2 Workspace Dreams will deliver the Prize free of charge to one address in South Africa within 30 days after the winner has confirmed their details. The winner will not be asked to pay anything to receive the Prize. Installation is not included.
4.3 The Prize is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. If the Prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond our control, Workspace Dreams may replace it with a product of similar or higher value, and will tell the winner before doing so.
4.4 The Prize carries Workspace Dreams' standard product warranty, and the winner keeps all their rights under the CPA in respect of the Prize.
4.5 The winner must make sure someone is available to receive the Prize at the agreed delivery time. If delivery fails because of incorrect details given by the winner or no one being available, we will arrange one further delivery at no cost.
5. Choosing and announcing the winner
5.1 The winner will be drawn at random from all valid entries on or about 12/11/2026, using Gleam, by Rene Robinson of Workspace Dreams. The draw will be recorded or witnessed by a second person.
5.2 Before the draw, we will check that each selected entry meets these Rules. A selected entrant who does not qualify will be disqualified and a new entry drawn.
5.3 The winner will be announced on 13/11/2026, in the Instagram Stories of @workspace_dreams_ and @itsmekirsti and by a reply on the Competition Post, using their Instagram handle only. The winner will also be contacted by direct message from the verified @workspace_dreams_ account.
5.4 Scam warning: we will only ever contact the winner from the official @workspace_dreams_ account. We will never ask you to pay a fee, click a link to "claim" the prize, or share banking or card details. Please report any account pretending to be us.
5.5 The winner must reply within 72 hours of being contacted and give their full name, ID number (for verification and record-keeping), delivery address and contact number. If they do not reply in time, or cannot be verified, they forfeit the Prize and a new winner will be drawn in the same way.
5.6 The winner does not have to be present at the draw or the announcement.
5.7 The Promoters' decision on the draw is final, provided it was made in line with these Rules and the CPA. No correspondence will be entered into about a correctly conducted draw.
6. Publicity, personal information and Instagram
6.1 Publicity is optional. We may ask the winner to share a photo or video with the Prize, be named or tagged in our content, or take part in other marketing. The winner may say no, and saying no will not affect their right to the Prize (regulation 11(3) of the CPA Regulations). Any such use will only happen with the winner's written consent.
6.2 Workspace Dreams is the responsible party for personal information collected in this Competition, as defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 ("POPIA"). We collect entrants' Instagram handles, comments and Story shares, and the winner's name, ID number, address and contact details.
6.3 We use this information only to run the Competition, verify eligibility, deliver the Prize and keep the records the CPA requires. We share the winner's delivery details only with our courier, and Kirsti Lang sees only the public Instagram information visible to everyone. We will not add entrants to our marketing lists without separate consent.
6.4 We keep competition records, including the winner's name and ID number, for at least three years as required by regulation 11(6) of the CPA Regulations, and then delete them securely. You may ask to access or correct your personal information, or lodge a complaint, by emailing rene@workspacedreams.co.za. You may also complain to the Information Regulator.
6.5 By entering, each entrant fully releases Instagram and Meta Platforms, Inc. from all liability in connection with the Competition, and acknowledges that the Competition is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram. Entrants must comply with Instagram's Terms of Use.
7. General
7.1 Disqualification. We may disqualify any entrant who breaks these Rules, enters dishonestly, tampers with the entry process, or behaves abusively towards the Promoters or other entrants.
7.2 Liability. To the extent the law allows, the Promoters, their directors, employees and agents are not liable for any loss or damage arising from taking part in the Competition or from accepting or using the Prize, except loss or damage caused by their gross negligence or wilful misconduct. Nothing in these Rules limits any right you have under the CPA.
7.3 Changes and cancellation. If something outside our reasonable control prevents the Competition from running fairly (for example, an Instagram outage, fraud or a change in law), we may change, suspend or end it. Any change will be published on this page and on the Competition Post, and will not reduce the rights of entrants who have already entered validly.
7.4 Partner. Kirsti Lang is a paid partner promoting the Competition (#AD). Workspace Dreams supplies and delivers the Prize and runs the draw.
7.5 Governing law. These Rules are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. If any clause is found invalid, the rest remain in force.
