What BIFMA is

The durability standard used for commercial office furniture in the United States. Parts are stress tested for strength, stability and everyday wear, so you know what they hold up to long before they reach you.

Gas piston

Class 4 secretarial piston, BIFMA certified to 120,000 cycles. That is the part doing the work every time you raise or lower the seat, and it is the first thing to fail on a cheap heavy-duty chair.

Base and castors

The pentagonal nylon base is BIFMA certified to a maximum load far beyond the chair's rating. Each 60 mm castor is certified to 100,000 cycles and 136 kg on its own, so five of them together carry the load without flexing.

It's a properly engineered ergonomic chair with the structural reinforcement to hold up to 180 kg and the design language to belong in a real workspace.

Eight points of adjustment let you tune the chair to your body, including back tilt and seat tilt with infinite lock, a seat slider for depth, and a back height ratchet that raises the entire backrest to match taller and larger builds. The full ergonomic mechanism is rated for daily heavy-duty use, paired with a 700 mm reinforced 5-star nylon base for extra stability and 60 mm castors that move smoothly across hard floors and carpet.
